POLICIES & PROCEDURES PAINT BOX GUILD/LITTLETON CAFE EXHIBITS

​​As promised, here are the policies and procedures we reviewed this morning (10/2/24), for our new exhibit venue.  Again, this may change as we finalize how we will exhibit at this venue.  If you have some suggestions about how to make things run smoothly, please let me know. I will address them with the PBG BOD and our Littleton Cafe Coordinators; Dorothy Fitzgerald and Bob Torgerson and the Littleton Cafe owner, Becky.  PRESIDENT Joan Zivic 

1.       Littleton Café is an outside exhibit opportunity offered by Paint Box Guild.  As such, this venue may have different policies and procedures from PBG’s  regular exhibits.  The café’s address is 1409 West Littleton Blvd., Littleton CO 80120.  Open daily from 6 A.M. to 1P.M. 

 

2.      This exhibit opportunity at the Littleton Cafe is exclusive to the Paint Box Guild active members.  Because the Littleton Cafe is considered an outside exhibit opportunity; it is not included in the requirement for the minimum of two exhibits during our business year.

3.     This is a 12-month exhibit cycle with four (4) exhibit periods of three (3) months each.  A PBG member will have the opportunity to exhibit for a three (3) month period.  If an artwork sells during that three (3) month period, it may be replaced with another piece by that artist until the end of that designated three (3) month period.  At the end of each three (3) month period, artists who have not displayed during the most recent period will be given priority. 

Exhibit Schedule: 

Put up and take downs will start after 1 P.M. after the restaurant has closed for the day.

Communication:

 

4.     All contact with the Littleton Café will be through the Paint Box Guild’s Exhibit Coordinator for the Littleton Cafe.  This person will be exclusively responsible for and in charge of all involvement with the Littleton Café and be the final authority with the Littleton Café owner regarding which art pieces are displayed and where they are displayed.  

The duties for the Littleton Café’s exhibit coordinator include but may not be limited to: 

• All communication between Littleton Café owner and PBG members

• Manage exhibit’s  put ups and take downs

• Notify the artist of a sale, track sales and ensure that commission is paid to the Paint Box Guild  

• May ask for assistance from the PBG membership

Sales, Commission, and Tax

 

5.      Sales will be handled by the Littleton Café.  A commission of 15% will be paid to the café and a 5% commission paid to the Paint Box Guild. The commission fees will be deducted from sale price of your artwork.   The Littleton Café will also charge an additional tax of 3.3% Littleton city tax.  This tax is charged to the purchaser above and beyond the price you choose for your artwork and therefore is not deducted from your artwork’s sale price.

6.     Policies and procedures regarding exhibits and involvement with the Littleton Café will be decided by the PBG Board of Directors and the Littleton Café  Exhibit Coordinator.
